snow + salt

I couldn't believe it last week when all our family and friends back home had more snow than we had in Idaho!! I'm not going to lie though, I wasn't the least bit sad about that.

But... Looks like we finally got all that snow sent our way!

Yesterday we woke up to a winter wonderland (which by the way Summer, all I can think of is your "Walken in a winter wonderland" picture whenever that song goes through my head... which is pretty often when it's white outside!)

Av and I went out during Jack's nap and made a snowman, then came inside for some cocoa. When he woke up, we went out for round two and played tag, threw snowballs at each other and I showed Avie how I could use my feet to write her name in the snow.

Then we came inside, and they each had a mini meltdown for five minutes while they're fingers warmed up.

When that was all over with, we went to Alyssa's to make some play dough.

While Alyssa and I had our backs turned for seriously two seconds, Jack dumped half the container of salt out onto the counter... They were going CRAZY with it and having so much fun spreading it as fast as they could all over the counter... and then onto the floor! We just let them go at it for a bit. We had salt everywhere, and no matter how many times we swept, there still seemed to be more and more. She told me next time we're making play dough at my place. :)
