He really hates when I call him that. He's not a photographer, he tells me. He just wants to learn to take good pictures. Either way, he's been spending a lot of the free time he has now with his nose in a book and when it's not, he's studying and trying out his new camera he (we) got thanks to generous graduation/Christmas gifts of money. I think photography is in his blood thanks to his mom. He's always been interested in it and always took the opportunity to grab his mom's whenever he could. Now, he's got his own to play with.
He's doing a photo blog kind of Julie & Julia style. Our wedding photographer actually recommended the book Understanding Exposure to us when he took our pictures. Spencer has really been enjoying it. Anyway, the author goes through different points and lessons in photography, and Spencer plans to follow along and practice each one and keep a record of it on his blog.
